Important information for your Sun Life Dental Clients

COVID-19 has impacted every business and every person in some way. We thank you for your continued work on behalf of our mutual Clients.

As you know, many dental practices are operating on an emergent care only basis as a result of COVID-19.  This may have delayed or limited access to preventive or other dental care for our Sun Life members. We are closely monitoring guidance provided by the American Dental Association (“ADA”) as well as Federal and State governments with regard to the operation and reopening of dental practices.

50% Dental premium credit for July 2020
Due to this disruption, Sun Life Dental Clients1 with a fully insured indemnity or PPO dental plan will receive a premium credit of 50% off the July 2020 premium for that plan(s) 2,3.  The credit will automatically appear on the July 2020 premium statement. We recognize the potential administrative challenges with adjusting the premium. Alternatively, upon request, Clients may elect to apply an equivalent credit at the next renewal for the dental plan(s)3,4. We will provide instructions on how Clients can request this alternative. For larger Clients, this is factored into the plan’s current or upcoming renewal.

We will begin communicating this information by email to Clients. As their advisor, we wanted to provide advance notice.
